The son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Davidson of 59 Lansdowne Ave., Chatham.

Brother of Luella. Husband of Dorothy Jean (nee Barwell), they had three children, Judi (Aitken), Bruce and Randy.  Prior to his enlistment Lloyd was a carrier boy for the Chatham Daily News and employed by the Chrysler Corporation in Chatham.

Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown). Lloyd would later transfer to the RCAF.

By August of 1942, still with 2nd Batt. Kent Regt. Lieut. Davidson attended a “Wings Ceremony” at the Aylmer Air Training School to pin the wings on RCAF P/O Peter Davidson, Lloyd’s nephew.

Lloyd himself would transfer from the Kent Regt. and join the RCAF in 1942. Lloyd trained at Galt, St. Thomas, Lachine PQ and Centralia ON.

Served with 2nd Kents from September 1939 to October 1942.  The CDN 30/09/43 reported that Lloyd was returning to his duties at Centralia, ON, after spending his furlough with his Father and Mother at their home at 59 Lansdowne Ave 

In Service three and a half years. Promoted to First Class Mechanic. Served overseas in England one and a half years.

Lloyd served overseas in England, the CDN 8/11/44 reported that he had arrived overseas.

Discharged May 13th, 1946.

In the obituary for his wife it was reported that Lloyd passed away 3 June, 1984. Buried in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, ON.  CDN 28/01/15.
