The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Warren of Erieau, the younger brother of Robert also serving in the Navy.  Married Miss Lily Vidler the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Vidler of Erieau. After a brief honeymoon to the States the bride returned to Erieau and her husband returned to duties on the coast. CDN 28/09/43.

Edward enlisted in May 1940 and departed for overseas in September of 1941. After arriving in England he was stationed close to London during the German ‘Blitz’. On one occasion his train was attacked by German aircraft, forcing the train to stop every fifteen minutes on the way.

Teddy was reported home along with his brother Robert. CDN 17/03/42     In an interview with the CDN 25/03/44 Edward said the Germans had a great habit of keeping a close schedule in their attacks. “Bombing would start every evening at seven o’clock and carry on until around five in the morning. Many of the bomb were dropped indiscriminately often in fields.
