Enlisted in the RCAF. CDN 25/05/42. The CDN 5/04/43 reported that LAC Fred Volkes had returned to RCAF-Clinton after a week-end furlough with his parents Mr. and Mrs. E. Volkes of Richmond St., Chatham, ON.
Previous Military Experience… one month training at #12 B.T.C. January 1941.
History After Enlistment… Went overseas September 1943 and served with the R.A.F. until December 16th 1945. Promoted to LAC.
Date of Discharge… January 22nd 1946
