Thomas was training at Camp Borden, ON, when he was given a week-end pass to visit his parents, CDN 4/05/43 and TT 6/05/43. Bill would be on leave to visit home again in July of 1943. TT 29/07/43. A ‘cable’ was received in mid-September of 1943 from William informing his parents that he had arrived safely overseas. TT 16/09/43.
