Reported in the Vocational Review 1942-43, as serving in the RCAF, stationed at Patricia Bay, BC.  The son of Mr. and Mrs. V. Swainston of James St., Chatham, ON. was reported leaving for Victoria, BC. CDN 3/11/42

The CDN 14/09/43 reported he was to return to his duties in Quebec after a short furlough spent with his parents,    

In January 1944 Reg was returning to St. Hyacinthe, PQ after a visit with his parents on James St., Chatham. CDN 15/01/44  The CDN 17/04/44 Reported that Reg was spending a three weeks sick leave with his parents.  

Reg was reported returning from overseas aboard the troopship “Stratheden” docking at Quebec City on 2/08/45.
