The CDN 4/03/43 reported that Flying Corporal the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart of Belmont. He was in the Navy but was discharged and joined the RCAF where he had served for two years. He had just arrived overseas. He was married to Mable Stewart the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Moody of Poplar St. Chatham.

The CDN 19/11/45(P) reported that Cpl. Stewart had returned to Canada aboard the Queen Elizabeth. His wife Mabel (nee Moody) was living at 32 Poplar St., Chatham, ON.
