Born in Thamesville, ON. 4/12/1920 the son of Oriville and Ethel (nee Evans died 1921) step-son of Irene (nee Gibson), Brother to Bill and Betty. Married to Linda (nee Hawthorne) (passed away 26/03/15) in 1949, the father of Neil and Rhona (Dyer).

Robert enlisted in the army in 1940 RCEEM and sailed to Scotland aboard the S.S. Orantes. Saw service in France, Holland and Germany. He was discharged in 1945.

After the war Robert owned and operated Secord Electric from 1950 to 1986.

Robert passed away 9/02/2014 at home in Thamesville, ON. with internment in the Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville. CDN-Obit 11/02/14.
