RCE. Of 46 Gray St., Chatham, ON. Born in 1908 the son of Charles and Bertha Hazel (nee Fournie) Seaton. The brother of Charles, Harold, Wilfred and Douglas. The husband of Gilberle (nee St. Marie) and father of Sonia (Maciejewskie), Aodrey (Cmeric), Charlene (Holand) and Lloyd.

It was reported that L/Cpl. Seaton was on his way home on a thirty day leave. CDN 16/12/44. Lloyd did make it back to Chatham but missed Christmas day by three day. He and Cpl. W.T. Kitchen were the first two men to return under the “newly-inaugurated rotation plan. CDN 28/12/44(P)

Llyod had been overseas for five years when he was repoted returned to Chatham in January of 1945 as a POW escort and unsure of how long his leave would be. Spr. Seaton had been serving in France, Belgium and Holland and had seen “much stiff fighting”. “It’s pretty tough going most of the way and I am mighty glad to be here especially to be home for Christmas.” CDN 18/01/45.

Loyd passed away 24 May, 1982 at 74 years old., internment unknown.
