The son of Mrs. William Scurr of Grand Avenue East, Chatham. The CDN 13/07/44 reported that Douglas left Chatham to take up his duties in the RCNVR at HMCS Montcalm, PQ. OS-VS Scurr was home on a week-end leave from Quebec on a short furlough. CDN 21/08/44 Douglas was reported on a week-end furlough from St. Hyacinthe, PQ. CDN 6/11/44
VSOD, Douglas was reported on a Christmas leave from RCAF- St. Hyacinthe, PQ. CDN 23/12/44
