The CDN 19/10/43 reported that Wesley had been on furlough from his duties and was returning to Halifax NS., after his visit.

Place of Enlistment:  Wallaceburg, Ontario.  Address of Enlistment:  Wallaceburg, Ontario. Date of Enlistment:  December 1941

Wesley’s wife writes: “Joined service in December 1941, called to Windsor January 1942, Basic training at Royal York Hotel in Toronto.  Went from there to Stradcona Barracks in Halifax, a few days went to sea, sailed on two ships – corvette and mine sweeper.  Returned home in middle of 1945.”
