N of K: Mrs. Martier Reissner of 149 Patterson Ave., (his Mother). A Labourer, Single. Vaccinated – Yes. He had no Military experience. Attestation: 25/03/16 at Chatham; ON.

Age: 20 yrs. 1 mth., Height 6’, Girth: 37 ½”, Complexion: Fair, Eyes: Blue, Hair: very Light-Brown:, Weight: 150#.  Medical Exam: “Fit” 27/03/16 at Chatham, ON., to 186th Bn. 27/03/16 at Chatham, ON.

Born February 26, 1896. Private Arthur Reissner left for overseas with the 186th Battalion March 26th, 1917, trained at Bramshott Camp until August 1917, when he proceeded to France to the 18th Battalion. Through illness, December 12th, 1918, he was admitted to the Casualty Clearing Station, transferred to the 24th General Hospital, Etaples, thence to Henden V.A.D. Hospital, December 22nd, 1918. After convalescence at Epsom, from January 22, 1919, he was given leave and reported to Witley Camp. He received hospital treatment at Bramshott Military Hospital from February 4th to February 17th, for Influenza; reported back to Witley, later to Rhyl, and embarked for Canada March 29th, 1919, arriving at Halifax April 5th, 1919.

Private Arthur Reissner received his discharge April 8th,1919, due to demobilization.

Presently show birth place as Gosfield, England. According to his “Record of Service” it should be Leamington, ON. and date of birth as 26 Feb. 1896.

Overseas (France) – to 18th Bn. – SOS 27/08/17 – 8/09/17 with 18th Bn. in Field 5/09/17 – 16/03/18 Granted 14 days leave. 30/03/18 – VGD – 12/08/18 ; DETAINED 12/09/18 – VDG 12/09/18: 51 GENERAL Forfets Field Allowance and placed under a stoppage of pay at the rate of 5 Co. per diem while in Hospital from 30/03/18 to 1/07/18 (94 days). 15/09/18 to 4th C.C.S. – VDG – Adm 4 Can. C.C.C. 

186th Batt. 27/03/16 to 1/04/17. Unit sailed 28/03/17. Arthur was was reported  with the 51st at the General hospital – Estaples for VDG., 15/09/18 22/11/18 – 30/11/18 Contracted TUBUCOLOSIS. 12/12/18 Euheiles to 19/12/18 – to England – Enteritis- No disability.  4th CCCS., 20/12/18 

He was transfer to Spalding Hall – VDG. 8/01/19, Then to Mil. Can – Epson 8/01/19 – Disc. 20/11/19. To 18th Bn. 1919, 5/02 – Hospital – Bramshott – Influenza 20/02/19 – Discharged. Hendon, VAD Hospital. Victoria Rd. – Spalding Hall – Camp Borden: Exam, Chatham, ON. 17 March “ Medical Board” – Withey 4/03/19.
