2ND OF MAR.,1916 – 1 Mar. 1917 at Camp Borden 13/09/16 – OVER AGE – Chatham, ON. 6 March, 1917. Contacted “Dysentery’ at Camp Borden – 3/08/16. 

Last Pay: Kit Charge:- monthly stoppage $9.50. Date of Enlistment: 2/03/16 – ID. 30F 144 OF 14/03/17 – 16/03/17 AT CHHATHAM, ON. Proceeding on Discharge:- PATON, William Elmer 19/03/17 at Chatham, ON. Age: 41 yrs. 11 mos., Medically Unfit. 14/03/17 (Weak knee from 12 yrs. of age – Following operation for the removal of cartilage. This man was 345 years old recently. His arterials are frail and his general physique good. The right knee is weak and swells after exercise. He has to wear bandages and can-not do any marches. There is also a slight Varicosity of veins in the right popliteal space of pre-enlistment origin. DISCHARGED.

Honourably discharged March, 1917.
