Born in 1921 at R. R. 6 Raleigh Twsp., Kent Co., ON. the son of Edward and Blanche (Nee Whitesel) O’Rourke. The brother of Pat (Roesch), Pauline (Jenner), Larry, Dan, Mark, James, Carmen (Willwood). Jack never married.

Jack enlisted in the RCN 14/05/42. The CDN 17/04/43 reported that OS. Seaman had returned to the east coast after a furlough spent with his parents.

It was reported that Jack had been on leave in August of 1944 and was returning to HMCS Portage after his furlough. He had attended a family reunion at the home of James O’Rourke, Lakeshore Rd., Raleigh Twsp. CDN 22/08/44.Jack was reported home in Chatham from the east coast to celebrate Christmas with his parents and friends. CDN 22/12/44 returned to east coast CDN 28/12/44.

After the war Jack owned and operated the O’Rourke Paint & Wallpaper Store.

Jack passed away 27 Jan.1988 at the age of 66 years old. Interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham, ON.
