Jack enlisted in the RCN 14/05/42. It was reported that Jack had been on leave in August of 1944 and was returning to HMCS Portage after his furlough. He had attended a family reunion at the home of James O’Rourke, Lakeshore Rd., Raleigh Twsp. CDN 22/08/44.
