It was reported that John enlisted at No.9 RCAF Recruiting Centre, London ON. CDN 15/07/42

The CDN 28/06/44) reported that Sigmn. Murray was returning to Barriefield  after spending a few days with his parents in Chatham. Sigmn. Murray was returning to RCAF-Woodstock training school after a weekend leave at his parent’s home in Chatham 

Jack was reported spending a Christmas week-end leave from Camp Barryfield with his parents in Chatham. CDN 27/12/44
