Son of William George Moors, 21 Elmer St., Eastbourne, Kent, England. (father). Caeter Moors (mother) not insured – 27/09/16. Teeth (good)  A single farmer living in Thamesville, Vaccinated –Yes. ON. Attestation: 24/01/1916 at St. Thomas, ON. Notted a Brown Strawberry mark on Rt. Buttock.  Had no Military training. To 186th Bn. It was noted that Miss C. Shindler (a cousin) of Thamesville, ON. Perhaps to help the family in Thamesville. Date of Service 25/08/17 GPO – Thamesville, Kent County.  Camp Div. Fort Pitt – Nil. Hosp. – Chatham, ON. 26/09/18 to 1/10/18 PUO.      

Apparent Age: 19 yrs. 5 mths., Height: 5’ 5″, Girth: 35”, Weight: 135#, Complexion: Fair, Eyes: Blue, Hair: Light Brown. “Fit”,  Vac. 1897. 21/01/1916 – at Chatham, ON., – Transferred from 91st to 186th Bn. O/S. 28/02/16 Sailed from Halifax NS. aboard the S.S. LAPLAND 28/03/17 – Then to 186th 28/02/16 – O/S to 18th Bn. UK.

6/04/18 – 2nd. COD. – Ceased to be attached to the 2nd. C.C.D. – 4TH Res. 9//09/18 – CCRG Arr. Can. Corp – Reinf. Camp 9/09/18.   

William E. Moors transferred from the 91st to the 186th Battalion, and went overseas March 28th, 1917. He later left for France in September, 1917 attached to the 18th Battalion. In December 1917, he was returned to England with trench fever and was discharged from Hospital March 1st, 1918. Afterwards he continued training at Bramshott Camp.

D of Disc. 1/03/1919  Do. 59 – 28/02/19 at London, ON. Age: 25yrs. 5’ 4 ½ “, Mole left shoulder – 2 Circular. Scars on Lower Right Leg. Large scars Left upper arm. Prior to enlistment. On DEMOB. at London, ON. 1/03/1919. Camp Div. Fort Pitt – Nil. Hosp. – Chatham, ON. 26/09/18 to 1/10/18 PUO.
