Somewhere in England

Dear Mother and Dad and Family:

Well, I arrived in England safely and am well and hope you are all well also.

I had the opportunity to meet Henry. I met him on parade and it was a grear surprise for the both of us. He is well and slept with me that night and on Sunday morning we went to church together. I also met some of the other boys from Tilbury and had a chat with Jerry Faubert and they all equired about the old home town.

It was a nice trip over and every thing was OK all the way. Well mother, will visit with you longer next time which will be soon. So auervoir for now.

As ever, your son.

Gerald.

A102964 Pte. Gerald Montminy,

Note: “Henry” would be his brother Pte. Henry Montminy A57450.  The Jerry Faubert would likely be Gordon Gerald a Sgt. in the RCAF. JRH.
