Donald was born in Chatham, Ontario on December 19, 1919.  Next of Kin was his Mother Mrs. Maude Mills.  Husband of Elsie May (nee Jackson).  They married in 1950. The father of Peggy (Crozier), Penny (Morrow), Patricia, and Pam (Hall). Don and Elsie built a cottage at Bedford Lake near Wiarton and enjoyed many summers there. Served in Holland, Belgium, France and Germany. Passed away 29 April, 1993 at the age of 73 years old. CDN 11/11/99.

Don’s Wife writes, “Donald enlisted in Chatham, Ontario in 1942 and address at enlistment was 11 Selkirk Street, Chatham.   He trained in Woodstock.  He went to the Essex Scottish Regiment later in 1942-1943 to England and then to the Continent.  He came home on a troop ship to New York on the Queen Elizabeth at the end of 1945.  Don built them a new home under the VLA.  They were blessed with 4 daughters.  He died of congestive heart failure.”
