Served overseas nearly three years. Spent six weeks in England and was then sent to Italy. Transferred to France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. Promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Received the usual decorations.

Discharged March 21st, 1946.

A daughter Janet (nee Hayes).
