Trained in Canada. Posted on overseas duty and made ten complete trips. Promoted to the rank of Signalman and received the Voluntary Service Medal and Atlantic Star.

Discharged August 21st, 1945.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McKie. Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment, (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown). Thomas would transfer from the Kents to the RCNVR, service number V39810. He was perusing a course in visual signaling. He succeeded in in training with a 100% and received his promotion.

In December of 1942 after being on a Christmas furlough from St. Hyacinthe, PQ. He spent Christmas at his parents of 195 Lacroix St., Chatham. CDN 30/12/42
