His wife Winnifred (nee Lewis). The Son of John McCubbin of Strathroy, ON. Capt. McCubbin had established a practice in Chatham previous to enlisting in October of 1940.
The CDN 19/03/43 reported that Capt. McCubbin had returned to Ottawa after a visit with his wife for a few days.
The CDN 9/12/43(P) reported that he had arrived in Italy with the Canadian Dental Corps after a hazardous trip on a ship that was torpedoed in the Mediterranian. Capt. McCubbin had been in England since 1943.
Served in Canada until March 1943, went overseas and served in Italy, Germany, France, England and Belgium.
Discharged November 1945.
