Trained in London, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Halifax and British Columbia. In February 1943 left B. C. going overseas in April. Joined the Essex-Scottish Regiment in July 1943 and saw action in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Promoted to the rank of Corporal.
