George enlisted in the RCAF in 1941 at Windsor, ON. He was stationed at # 7 Manning Depot, Toronto, ON and from there to the Technical Training School at St. Thomas, ON.

Due to ill health he was honourably discharged in November of 1941. George married Mildred Ellerbeck (W315327) George passed away in 1971.

Geroge passed away 24/10/1971, internment Fairview Cemetery, Wheatley, ON. M. Smyth, 4/09/13.
