Carlton & York Regt. Born April 25, 1921, the son of Alexander “Sandy” and Matilda (nee McGlashin) Mathieson of R. R. # 1, Thamesville, ON.   Alistair’s brothers are Cecil and James and sisters Norma Badder and Muriel McKim.  

Alastair was reported on a week-end leave to visit his parents. CDN 15/10/42. Home on a week-end leave at his parents in the Wabash area. CDN 10/12/42. The husband of Marie (nee Eckenswiller) 1931 – 2009, buried in Dresden. Father of Donna (Cartier 2006), Bonnie (Morgan) and Patty (Van DerMolen)

Reported to be returning from oversea duty aboard the S.S. Nieuw Amsterdam, CDN 26/09/45.

Discharged September 1945.

Alastair passed away 24 February, 1977 and is buried at the Dresden Cemetery.

His wife Marie passed away in 2009 and is buried at the Dresden Cemetery.
