Born at Glenwood in Tilbury East Twsp. in 1920, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ludwig of Tilbury, ON., brother of Audrey (Mayhew) and Kenneth. Glenn received his public school in the village of Glenwood and attended high school in Merlin.

Enlisting in the RCAF in 1941 and for two years was attached to the ground crew as a aerial mechanic at depots in Quebec and Calgary AB.

Glenn was stationed at RCAF Calgary training to be a Flight Engineer was reported home on leave to visit his parents in April of 1943. TT 29/04/43.

In August of 1943 Glenn was home again after being promoted to Flight Engineer and was on a leave to visit his family before being posted to Mount Joli, PQ. TT 26/08/43.

The CDN 14/07/44 reported he was stationed at RCAF-Dunnville and was returning after a two-week furlough at his parents.

He graduated as a Sergt.- Flight Engineer from Alymer S.F.T.S. in March 1945. His mother and father attended his graduation along with Audrey and Kenneth Ludwig and Mr. H. E. Webster of Chatham.    Glenn would later make the rank of Pilot Officer.

After the war Glenn returned to Tilbury and took up the life-long career of farming. He became the Executive Farm Manager of Tahgahoning Enterprise of Walpole Island from 1974 – 91. He was involved in the Masonic and Shriner Lodges and was chairman of the Kent Presbytery of the United Church.

Glenn passed away 25 March, 2015 in his 96th year at Henley Place, London, ON., interment at Woodland Cemetery, London, ON. CDN-Obit 27/03/15.
