Private Peter Letourneau enlisted in 186th Batt April 1st 1916 and after training at London, Camp Borden and Chatham he proceeded overseas in March 1917 and trained at Bramshott. He then proceeded to France to join 18th Batt June 17th 1917.

He contracted trench fever in Nov 1917 and was sent to hospital at Manchester, transferred to Rochdale and from there to Convalescent Hospital at Epsom. In Feb 1918 he was sent to Whitley to join C.C.D. Reserve. He returned to France Aug 1918 and remained there until he returned to England Dec 15th 1918. He arrived at Halifax, N.S. Jan 24th 1919.

Discharged at London Feb 19th 1919 due to demobilisation.
