Born 14/04/23, the son of Beverley Earl  and Freda Blanche (nee Roszell) Raised by Mr. Thomas Roszell in Harwich, Twsp. He received his education at S.S. No. 17 Raleigh. Prior to his enlistment he was employed by the Dowsley Corp.  Married to Irene Ruth (nee Elgie) the daughter of Mrs. Alma Elgie, 204 Wellington St. West, Chatham, January 1941. They had a daughter Linda Lee (Fenton). It was reported in the CDN 22/05/42(P)  that Tpr. Lennox, who had enlisted in October of 1941 joining the 3rd Canadian Armoured Corps had arrived safely in England 22/08/42.

The CDN 21/10/43(P) reported that Tpr. Lennox had been KIA while serving in Italy. According to the casualty officer he was killed while fighting on 6 October 1943. He was a member of a reconnaissance battalion.  

Last word received  by his family was a letter several weeks before his death from Sicily. He had come through that Sicilian campaign without harm.

He was killed at the Tortora River crossing.

KIA – Date of Death: 06/10/1943, in Italy. 20 years old.
