Rank Leading Supply Assistant
Unit # RCNVR

He was reported as ending a twenty eight day furlough from his duties on the east coast, his first leave in two years. Yo enlisted in 1940 and after his training in Canada he joined one of the Canadian destroyers on convoy duty.

During the four years he was at sea he made several trips across the Atlantic but he never disclosed whether he had seen any action.

Yo had been a very popular sports figure, one of the best softball pitches in the area before he enlisted.  Prior to his enlistment he was employed by the International Harvester Co. and after the war he would return to that company where he worked until he retired. CDN 23/06/44, JRH.
