Born 25 October, 1921,  next of kin reported as Mrs. Margaret Teeter, his father was Roy of 203 King St., East, Chatham, ON., the half brother of Hawley Teeter who was serving in the Navy,  sisters Margaret (Mason), Opal (Goodreau) and Monica (Siddall). The husband of Madeline (nee DeWael), the father of Marvin Leroy, Dennis, Donald, Betty Lou (Rylett), Cheryl and Mary  Margaret (Smyth).

Marvin “Sonny” enlisted in the 1st Kents in August of 1940 when they were mobilized, transferring to the RCR to go overseas as an infantry reinforcement to Italy.  He was officially reported as being wounded in action twice by 16/09/44, he received a severe bomb fragment wound in his right foot and thigh.

The CDN 16/09/44(P) reported that some time ago it was reported that L/Cpl. Kendall had been slightly wounded He recovered and rejoined his unit. He was officially reported as being wounded in action twice by 16/09/44. The CDN 29/04/44 reported that L/Cpl. Kendall was reported WIA well being in combat in Italy. He received a severe bomb fragment wound in his right foot and thigh. 

Reported returning from overseas on board the S. S. “New Amsterdam” part of a contingent of RCR members. 

Marvin Leroy passed away 6 May, 2000.
