The son of Mrs. Michael Kearn of Tilbury area; the brother of Owen.

Philip was home on a two week furlough from Valcartier, PQ., with the Forestry Corps.  He was reported as serving with the Canadian Army Overseas in February of 1943.  He had spent New Years with his uncle Edward MCGinnet and brother Owen, in Scotland. TT18/02/43.
