Son of Christopher (A108943) WWI and Dora Jones; husband of Mary Grace (Shaw) father of Harold and Marion, of Thamesville, Ontario. Four other siblings were also in service, Pte. Lawrence, Pte. Ben, P.O. Allen, and Pte. Chris. 

Ernest had been serving overseas for two years seeing action in Belgium and Holland.

Date of Death: 25/09/1945, truck collided in Holland. 

From Bothwell.  The KCFA 19/07/45 reported he was aboard the hospital ship “E Mil” expected to dock at Halifax July 1945, he was a stretcher case.
