The son of Mrs. Helen James of Merlin. He enlisted in Chatham, ON., and was on the staff of BTC. No. 10 – Chatham when he transferred to the Essex Scottish. He was reported to have safely arrived in England. He was taking commando training. He had celebrated his 20^th birthday on the 23^rd of May. CDN 29/05/42(P)
