Ear  The WN 27/01/44 reported that Russel was at the “Control Mining Base” , HMCS Stadacona, Halifax NS.

In the WN 12/01/45 he was reported returning from overseas then as Stocker V85659. [It was not uncommon for an enlistment to take a reduction in rank to serve overseas. JRH]
