His wife’s brother, Pte. Walter Christner, Orval’s brother-in-law was serving in England with the 4th Canadian Infantry Brigade had the same birth date as Spr. Haney. A joint birthday party was celebrated on their birth date. CDN 26/05/42.
James passed away 9/02/1993 and is buried at the Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville, ON.
