The CDN 20/04/43 had returned to Peterborough after a three day furlough in Chatham with his wife and two sons, Charles and Douglas.
It was reported that Alfred was on furlough with his wife and sons Charles and Douglas at their home at 159 Delaware Ave., Chatham, ON. He was expected to return to BC. on 10 January, 1944. CDN 7/01/44.
