Associated with the Kent Regiment (M.G.)

Enlisted in the reserve army as a private in 1930 and received his commission in 1933, went on active service as a Lieutenant with the first Hussars on October 6th 1939. In October of the following year he returned to the Kent Regiment as second in command of a company with the rank of Captain After two years of service with the battalion, took the company commander’s course at R.M.C. He was with the regiment on the west coast when he received his proceeded overseas where he joined the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders. After seeing service in Northeast Europe and receiving  wounds which necessitated hospitalized in England, he joined an Infantry training unit and remained in that post till repatriation.

Discharged July 26th, 1945.
