The son of Mrs. John Anderson of the River Road, Harwich Twsp. Kent Co., ON. The brother of Pte. Murray James Hilton (A61527).

A married tinsmith living in Chatham at 3 Lacroix St., ON. Member of the 24th Kent Regt. Attestation: to 91st Bn. Transferred to 186th Bn. 28/02/16. Departed Chatham for London as part of 2nd Contingent.

Orville was serving overseas in the Canadian Tank Corps since February 1944. He had trained at Chatham and Camp Borden. He was 24 years old.

Discharged January 7th, 1946.

The CDN 16/09/46 reported that his wife Hilda W. Ellis arrived in Canada on the Queen Mary making her last repatriation cruise when she arrived in Halifax.

Orville passed away 3 August, 1979.
