Went to London, Ontario in January 1941 and was in training for six months. Went to Halifax and served on active duty for six months and was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Transferred to the West Coast and served on active duty in New Westminster, Terrace and Victoria. Promoted to Sergeant, March 1944.
