Of Raleigh Twsp., Kent Co. ON.   Peter enlisted in London, ON. in 1942; arrived overseas in May of 1944. Served on Kiska Island for 6 months and in England for two years.   Served overseas where he married Phyllis Aileen (nee Stocker) who was serving in the Royal Air Force during WWII.  [Phyllis was reported to be the last of the British ‘War Brides in the Ridgetown area]. Peter and Phyllis married in the UK in 1945 and she arrived in Ridgetown in 1947. Peter was the father of Ann, Deanna, Charles, Catherine, Bill, Henry, Elaine, Jane, Christine and Robert.

After the war Peter returned to farming and helped Phyllis raise their family.

Peter passed away in 1982 and Phyllis 20 July 2018 at 97 years old. She was buried in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Ridgetown.
