David was married and had children, who were living on Dufferin St., Chatham, ON., when he was home on leave from training at Camp Bordon, ON. in March of 1942.  CDN 16/03/42.

Served in Canada for four years. Was promoted from Private to Full Lieutenant.

Discharged March 9th, 1944
