Had served for 7 years in Coy. H., 16th Infantry, US Army. At the time of enlistment, he was a general labourer. His home town is unknown.

He enlisted on 27 August, 1914 at Ottawa, ON. His medical examination was not completed until approximately the 1st of October. He departed with the 1st Contingent CEF that sailed on 3/10/14 for England.

Served with the PPCLI., it is also reported that he was wounded with a  GSW to head. He spent a long time in the hospitals in England before being repatriated to Canada 7/12/17. David re-enlisted on 10/08/18 with the 216th Bn. CSEF. Contacted CKBHS and Buxton.
