General Boeykens was wounded in Italy in September 1944.

Ely served in the CFA 7th Anti-Tank 111th Battery. He is reported as being WIA in the IODE-CM Books of Remembrance.

The CDN 20/11/45(P) [poor] Was reported to be aboard the Queen Elizabeth arriving in Canada “the week”.

Discharged December 1945.

Ely Edmund passed away 9 July, 2012.
