The WN 30/12/43 reported that William was stationed in Edmonton, AB. He married Mary (nee Moore), they were married on Christmas Morning 1943.  William was reported stationed at HMCS Chippewa, Winnipeg MB. WN27/01/44.

The WN 1944. reported that the RCN have granted him an honourable discharge from service. He would return to Wallaceburg as Constable.
