Born 27/07/1918 in Wallaceburg, Kent Co., ON. The son of Joseph Theo and Emma (Ritchie) of Wallaceburg. Married to Kathleen (Carty) who was living at 912 James St. Wallaceburg

Henry enlisted at London, ON. and trained at London, ON., Ipperwash, Kitchener, Listowell, Camp Borden, Stratford, Brockville, Trios Rivieres, PQ. Sussex, NB. and Gordon Head, BC. in special chemical warfare. 

While Henry was training in Stratford, the WN 26/08/43 reported that he was able to spend some time with his parents.

Served overseas in England and France. 

Date of Death: 28/06/1944, Fatally wounded by enemy fire during the Normandy invasion in France while serving with a British unit.

KIA – Date of Death: 28/06/1944, age: 25 years. Fatally wounded by enemy fire during the Normandy invasion in France, while serving with a British unit the Durham Light Infantry as part of the CanShare program.
