Son of William Henry and Jessie Phoebe Beeney. Brother of Helen, Mavis, and Mary of Cedar Springs, Ontario, Canada.  Educated at Cedar Springs Public School and Blenheim High School.

Norman enlisted in May of 1942 and completed his training at No.12 BTC, Chatham, Ipperwash, and Debert NS. He left for overseas in March of 1943.

The CDN 24/04/44 reported Pte. Beeney was serving overseas. The CDN 26/09/44 reported that Pte Norman H. Beeney “died of wounds received in action in Italy of 17 September”. His sister Helen received the bad news. 

Age 19, Date of Death: 17/09/1944, in Italy.
