Born in Chatham, ON. in 1913. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Ball of Park Avenue, Chatham, ON. Alex was married to Evelyn and was living at 128 Lorne Ave., Chatham, with their daughter, when he enlisted in October, 1943. Prior to enlisting he was employed as a patrolman at the Chatham Chrysler plant.
Alex trained in Canada for 10 month’s before going overseas to England. It was reported in the CDN 21/06/44 that Alex was serving overseas. He saw action in Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He was discaharged from service 4/04/1946.
