Son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Archer and brother of Peter of Tilbury. Born in 1916, Tilbury, where he attended both public and high school.

Pete joined the Kent Regt. in May of 1940, Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown). In October of 1940, age of 24 years, he transferred to the RCAF enlisting in Windsor, ON., his first posting was at St. Thomas, ON. from there he trained at Dartmouth NS. in June of 1941. His training in the RCAF as an instrument mechanic and he was posted overseas to 407 Squadron a Swordfish Squadron. He returned from overseas duty on 30 June, 1945 Aboard the Aquitania, and was posted to Debert, NS. Pete was demobilized in September of 1945.

Edward Andrew Archer passed away 28/02/2008 with internment at St. Georgew’s Cemetery, Tilbury.Archer Edward A Pete
