Private W.J. Allen arrived in Liverpool September 22nd, 1916, and proceeded to Witley Camp. He was transferred to a different company and sent to Scotland where he served at this trade as blacksmith in the lumber camps.

Private W.J. Allen received his discharge at Kingston, Ontario, February 25th, 1918, being medically unfit for further military service.
