A single carpenter was living with his wife and son at the Brosco Apartments, Chatham, ON. Attestation: /03/1916 at Chatham, ON. to the 186th Bn. Roy went overseas with the 186th aboard the S. S. Lapland, departing on 28/03/1917 for England.

Pte. Roy Allen was Killed in Action 11/11/1917 and his name is on the Menin Gate (Ypres) Memorial (Panel 10-26-28) in Belgium.
