Son of Mr. & Mrs. James (Chappy) Adkin. Father was a well known Dresden baseball player. After discharge, Gerald Adkin moved to Wallaceburg, where he lived until his death in 1978. School-Days nickname “Peewee”.

Served on H.M.C.S. Cornwallis, Buxton, Scotian, Perigrine, Llewellyn, Portgae and Antigonish.

Discharged January 1946.
